This is NOT a guided ride but an opportunity for you (and your friends and family) to explore some of Swindon's extensive cycle path network. Our brand new Swindon cycling map will show over 35 checkpoint that we have put out on, or very near, cycle paths around the borough. You can choose to ride for 1, 2 or 3 hours so long as you finish by 3 pm and find as many of these as possible. Each check point found wins you points so try and get as many points as possible. If you are not sure how good your map reading is we have created and sign posted a simple 7 mile route for you. You can practice your map reading by finding the checkpoints on this route. Did we says it's FREE to enter. The registration opens at 9 am, first start time is 10 am, you can start any time between 10 am and noon. Riders are advised to wear a well fitting cycling helmet. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. We advise you bring a pen and some money to buy cakes and drinks when you have finished. Wear suitable clothing for the weather, bring a filled up water bottle and snack to keep you fuelled during your ride. It is advisable to bring a pump, tyre levers and a puncture repair kit as we are not able to come and repair your bike if you get a problem. for more details email [email protected] or see the posts on www.mobilecyclemedic.com The route details below, are generic, you can choose to go as far or as short as you wish.
