Swindon - Super Seven Fields Circular - 7 miler

If you're fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour. Starting in the Penhill community we cycle straight into the idyllic valley of Seven Fields Nature Reserve viewing an abundance of wildflower meadows, wild trees and ancient woodland. On exiting the reserve we cycle through Haydon Reserve and meander towards Redhouse. Coming into north Swindon you will pass several parks and see plenty of greenery even though the route takes you through some built-up areas. The route relies on small sections of suburban roads through Redhouse before utilising the many cycle friendly paths and routes. The group then rides towards Abbey Meads Community Primary School and through the leafy estates before returning back through the north entrance of Seven Fields Nature Reserve. The route highlights many of north Swindon's beautiful scenery and tranquil cycle routes.
