TFCC - Bracknell Swinley Forest - Approx 40 Miles

TFCC - Traffic Free Cycling Club rides start from West Drayton Station near the bike racks, we leave 15 mins after the start time, and can wait longer if people text or call to let me know they are running late (07867824809). We use the network of canal tow paths, cycle trails and paths to keep us as off road as possible, this however means there will be mud, glorious mud. So please don't bring your road bikes with super thin tyres these rides will not be suitable. There is no event today, this ride will be led by Trevor Ayres, it will be a big ride, and will be coming back in the dark so bring lights, hi vis etc. The TFCC leaders are not responsible for your equipment. 10.00 - Meet at West Drayton Station 10.15 - After introductions of newbies, and waiting for the ride leader me, who is nearly always late. We head off down the Slough Arm of the Grand Union Canal Approx 3miles 11.00 - We reach Windsor and will probably have a refreshment stop. 11.15 - We head off again to The Great Park (big hills) 12.00 - Leave The Great Park via Duke's Lane 12:30 - Lunch at South Hill Park ( where you will meet up with Harriet & I) 13:30 - Finish Lunch and head onto Swindley Forest 14:30 - Arrive at Swindley, check out the Look Out Centre and another opportunity for refreshments before hitting the trails. 16.30 - Leave Swindley Forest and start returning home 20.30 - Back at West Drayton * NOTE - All timings are estimates, and are dependent on how long we spend at the event, plus the speed of the ride, as well as dealing with punctures and other malfunctions.
