The Farm Goose - Ladies only

Starting outside Go Ape, Rivington. Please arrive 10-15 mins beforehand for a quick bike check and ride briefing. BL6 If you have not completed a ride participant form previously for one of the HRS rides, please request one via email [email protected], Facebook messenger or through the lets ride site.

Ride leader: Lesley Doxsey Heading off on this steady progression ride, we will cycle on varied terrain – trails, country lanes, canal paths and a couple of main roads. The ride has a steady incline to contend with on the return journey to Rivington. Do not let that put you off, you can take your time and we will stop for a rest along the way . We will have a café stop in Blackrod. Average speed – 7-8 mph Elevation – 750 ft.

Please ensure your bike is in good working condition. Check your gears and brakes and if they are a little bit stiff/rusty and you are not sure how to remedy, take it to your local bike shop. They will be happy to take a look. Although helmets are only recommended by law and not deemed to be essential, anyone not wearing a helmet will not be able to join the ride unfortunately.

We do have bikes and helmets to hire if required. Please email [email protected] for further information . Please bring your spare inner tubes, bike levers and pump (don’t worry about the latter if you don’t have one). A lock would be advisable for the café stop. It is essential that all ride participants carry their own PPE, that is mask, anti bac gel/wipes and tissues. First aid consumables will be provided by the leader but you will need to self-medicate if it is safe to do so.
