Join us on this fantastic ride that really shows you what a great place Kirklees is to ride in.  Starting from the central Huddersfield Leeds Road Sports Complex we make our way through some of the lovely villages on the outskirts to Emily Moor Mast.  Anybody who hasn’t been up close to the mast is going to be in for a big surprise.  And for anybody who already has, what better way than to do it by bike!  There are a few more up hills and downhills before we reach our second iconic landmark in Kirklees, Castle Hill.  There will be time to enjoy the views from both land marks before making our way back to Leeds Road.  This ride is a must of any cycling enthusiasts who wants to give their legs a bit of a stretch on a Sunday! This ride uses part of National Cycle Network (NCN) route 66. To find out more about the NCN and other great places to cycle near you everyday, go to the Sustrans website (http://www.sustrans.org.uk/ncn/map/national-cycle-network). You don’t have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you’ll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you’re comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour.
