Starting point

Greater Manchester
BL6 7LQ

Mountain bike only E or analogue, that's upto you. Not suitable for Gravel bikes unless you really enjoy pain, you have been warned. Front suspension Mountain bike is sufficient.

We are not qualified mountain bike leaders, hence this being a community ride. You ride at your own risk and decide if you need to get off on technical sections.

We start off in Rivington. We will climb through the Chinese Gardens. Across a cobble track onto the Sheephouse descent. Down to Belmont. Onto the Whitton Weavers Way towards Tockoles. On trails towards Roddlesworth and onto Abbey Village. We then cut through towards Brinscall. Then onto White Coppice. Climb up past Healey Nab. Making our way back to Rivington.

Bring food/drink/snacks. There is a cafe at Brinscall but it is very small. We may stop for a brew here. Otherwise we can go to the cafe in Rivington at the end.

If you are use to riding a bike and have fitness or are E-propelled you should be OK. Not suitable for anyone new to cycling.
