This is the first of 4 routes which link up to offer a " tour of Kent" Of East Kent to be exact. This one starts at Ashford Station, and takes us to Canterbury.

The route leaves Ashford on traffic-free bike paths, then follows small lanes to Wye and Chartham Then we join the Stour Valley Bike path into Canterbury.

We will have a stop in Wye, where there is a little Coop and a cafe. There is also a train station if anyone would like to hop on a train onwards to Canterbury.

Bring helmets, money for refreshments. Riders should arrange their own travel to the start, probably by train, and make their own arrangements at the end, either to stay overnight or to catch a train home.
