This is a challenging route of about 13 miles. We will start at the Lower Lodges Stanmer Park and weave our way along the A27 before turning off and climbing to Black Cap via the SDW. From there we will head towards Ditchling Beacon where we will stop and take in the stunning views. Then we turn left and head on some superb descents through meadow and gravel.
It's a beautiful ride and will give you a good work out.

We will be exploring our lovely Stanmer Park and heading North to Ditchling Beacon then West to Black Cap and finally to complete our triangle, back down to Stanmer. This is a challenging route with lengthy and steep inclines. You need to have the fitness to be able to cycle up hill. on your bike.

There will be a mixture of terrain as we negotiate through the woods and meadowland. Gravel, chalk, grass, some tarmac and tree roots.

We will stop at Ditchling Beacon for ice-cream and refreshments and pause to take in the magnificent views. We will then get on our way to Black Cap and again stop and pause and be in the moment. We will then return to Stanmer Park and will no doubt visit the Stanmer Village tea rooms for tea/coffee/cake.

This is a challenging ride. Please make sure you have your bikes checked over. Breaks and gears need to be in good working order. The terrain means that 'skinny tyres' are not suitable. 'Knobbly mtb or gravel/cross/adventure bikes are fine.

We never leave anyone behind
