Straightforward coastal trip. Mostly flat and very picturesque. Lots of options to stop if needed.
Can be built up to timing yourself to improve fitness. Or just enjoyed.

Start at Tynemouth Priory. Head north through Cullercoats, Whitley Bay, St Mary's, Seaton Sluice along to Blyth South Beach. Return or end there depending on where you live, how you got to Tynemouth.

Part of National Cycle Route 1.

Mostly off road. Very scenic and mostly flat. Good coffee and toilet stops. Really mellow one for folk happy to pedal with limited stress and effort. Great starter ride.

Suitable for any kind of bike.

Toilets are on route as are cafes. If tides permit St Mary's Island can be an addition.

Always wear a helmet and gloves for your comfort and safety. Bring means to get a coffee and cake if you fancy. Bring sarnies if that suits you. Definitely a little snack and water. A little rain coat, an an extra layer because although it's nearly Spring. It's still the UK.

We especially welcome newbies!
