Starting point

Cheshire
CH66 6AD

Predominantly flat ride comprising approx 50% traffic-free cycleways & 30% country lanes from Merseyside, specifically Hooton Train Station, Ellesmere Port. We'll ride past Cheshire Oaks towards the well paved River Dee Cycle Way on which we pedal along for a while (6 consecutive miles!) before reaching the city of Chester and the village of Waverton about 24 MILES into our ride where we'll stop for a hearty lunch of wholesome products prepared on site within an actual working mill by the River Gowy with plenty of history that is the Miller's Kitchen inside Walk Mill.

Lovely ride to Walk Mill in Waverton where they mill their own wheat to make stoneground flour with all the goodness still retained. For more info on how stone milling is done, visit their website:
https://walkmillflour.co.uk/process/

The 2nd leg of the route takes us past Brown Heath, Christleton & Great Boughton before finishing at Chester Train Station for our onwards journey home.

NB. Goldie Lookin' Chains positively encouraged!
