Get out of London and enjoy the scenery and wildlife of Richmond Park! This ride is a great way to slowly build up your climbing legs. On this ride, we will do a partial anti-clockwise loop in Richmond Park that includes the flatter traffic-free route near Pen Ponds with a bit of climbing to build your endurance. The total elevation gain for the 16 mile ride is 750 feet, with plenty of chances to catch your breath and catch a view of the deer and the city.

We will ride through Wandsworth Common to Putney Heath and Richmond Park via primarily quieter side streets with a few busier bits.

We will regroup at the top of hills to make sure every rider has support as they climb. We will also stop briefly in Richmond Park for the loos near Pembroke Lodge before returning to Wandsworth Common for our cafe stop at Skylark Café in Wandsworth Common. It has just been remodeled and has plenty of space inside and out.

Riders should bring plenty of water, a helmet, and appropriate footwear. You may also want a lock for the café stop at the end.

If it’s your first time to Richmond Park, or if you haven’t been climbing much lately, this ride will help you ease into the bigger loop of the park. And no one will be left behind!
