Free, women-only bike rides led by experienced Breeze Champions. They are a great way to get started in cycling or to improve your skills, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned cyclist.

on a wednesday evening our rides will start 6.30pm from the ice rink carpark, we have 4 routes that we will alternate weekly with that rnge between 12- 15 miles, each week we will decide the route given the weather, roadworks etc.... Please note NO coffee stops on the evening rides. Route 1 - Hadden - this is sainsburys roundabout, up to proctorsmiddy turn left, follow the road, enjoying the wheekie down to the Hadden turn, Kerchesters, Sprouston back to Kelso. Route 2 - Birgham Eccles - this is left at Shedden rounadbout, along to Birgham, turn left at the memorial, over to Eccles, out of Eccles, take the right and we follow the cycle route to Ednam, then Kelso Route 3 - Bowmont, this is sainsburys roundabout, up to lloyds taking a right and gentle climb to the left turn for Bowmont, then along and down to the crossroads taking a left back the main road, corssing over at what we used to call the smokery, over the bridge, we are going to ask you to carry bikes over this bridge as the surface is not tyre friendly we are told, if anyone is on a heavier bike we will assist with the carrying. back roxburgh to Kelso. Route 4 - Eccles Birgham - this is out to Ednam turning right for the cycle route and out to Eccles, turning right for Birgham, follow road to Birgham taking a right back to Kelso.

As and when the ride leaders have mentioned in the briefing, junctions, nose blow stops, take photos etc….

Please make sure bike is in good working order, tyres pumped, gears working, batteries charged if in an e-bike. Helmets must be worn, please dress appropriately for the time of year, we always ask you to carry a spare inner tube and any repair kit/tools for your bike. Monies for cuppa stop. We suggest you have a drinks bottle for your ride on your bike too
