The United Nations General Assembly has designated 25 November as the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and girls and the start of 16 days of activism.
White Ribbon UK observe 25 November as white ribbon day, when men and boys speak up about their year-round action to prevent violence against women and girls.
As Milton Keynes largest women's cycling group, Breeze, we believe it is important to show our support for White Ribbon Day.
Join Ann at Willen Pavillion (where free parking is available) and we will ride up the to MK Rose for the Orange and White Vigil at 6pm.
The Torchlit Vigil will include reflections and readings, and the tying of a white ribbon around The Whole MK Rose. If weather permits, some of the local crafters will decorate the pillars with their craft pieces earlier in the day, to be viewed from midday during daylight hours.
We will return together to the Willen Pavilion from there. We will return by 7pm.

If anyone wishes to bring a male friend/partner due to the fact we are riding at night time, this is perfectly understandable and OK, just drop me a line.
Also supporting White Ribbon Day is the -
Craftivism exhibition in Centre:MK
Craftivism for a Safer City
running from 26 November to 10th December and which will have its grand opening by
MK Mayor Cllr James Lancaster at 5.30 pm on 25 November.
Local creatives were invited to help raise awareness about violence against women and girls by making handmade craft pieces that could adorn the pillars at the Milton Keynes Rose at this November's Vigil.
