This is the ride for you if you would like to give mountain biking a go or are new to mountain biking and would like to ride in the Wyre Forest. Ride in a women only group around the Family Cycle trail of 4.7 miles in the Wyre Forest. We will be riding at the pace of the slowest rider so we don't leave anyone behind. It will be the ideal opportunity for you to increase your confidence on trails. Afterwards we can reward ourselves with cake in the cafe. Mountain bikes or knobbly tired gravel bikes are essential for this ride and so is a helmet. You will also need to come dressed for the weather and a drink and a snack are also a good idea. It would also be good to carry a spare inner tube, just in case you need it. As the route can be wet and muddy, a spare change of clothing for after the ride is also advisable. The car park at the Wyre Forest does get busy and parking charges apply, so arrive in good time for a 10am bike check before the ride. Meet at the Breeze banner near the café. Mountain biking is great fun and a good way to get fit so come along and give it a go. If you have any questions about this ride then you can e-mail me at [email protected]
Traffic-free family cycle trail so mainly wide forest tracks but there will be some rooted sections and uneven ground.
Don’t forget! This is a mountain bike ride, so may involve terrain that’s a bit trickier to negotiate. Please consider your own ability to ride the length, elevation and terrain of the ride. If in any doubt, message the Breeze Champion.
