From Cycle Heaven across Walmgate Stray to Heslington, long peaceful lanes through farmland to Elvington and Sutton on Derwent, then over Hagg Bridge and down the Derwent to the pretty village of Ellerton and Pig in the Willow cafe. Similar route to return

A lovely countryside ride along the River Derwent east of York

Quiet country lanes and cycle tracks - of which there is quarter of a mile of rough cart track, not suitable for road bikes, but we can walk it

Frequent stops for drinks and snacks, coffee & cake at the half way mark, possibly at Cycle Heaven at the end

Please wear a helmet and bring drink, snacks, cash/card for coffee, and 2 spare inner tubes
