A steady ride through the City of London to enjoy a relaxed brunch at the Yurt Café, a community business operated by the Royal Foundation of St Katharine, followed by a view of the Cable Street Battle mural. Although the majority of our route is through cycling lanes, there is a number of normal roads so some confidence in cycling in traffic is needed.
We will start going through Camden, Kings Cross, the City and C2 along Whitechapel, until we reach the café at Limehouse half way through our route. After our break, we quickly stop in Shadwell to appreciate a bit of history on the mural of the Cable Street Battle, and return via C3 along Tower Hill, Embankment and Hyde Park, cutting through Little Venice to quiet roads back to Brent. We aim to be back at Roundwood Park by 3pm.
The Yurt Café has bike racks so bring a lock.
