Starting point

WD25 9GP

Meet Peter outside Garston medical Centre, 6A North Western Avenue, Watford

This ride Leader for this ride is now Peter Jackson due to Charles being unwell. The main objective is the museum visit with the ride being the means of getting there. We intend spending time going around the museum. Charles will join us there.

Ride to visit the De Havilland Museum at Salisbury Hall. Admission charge £12 (£10 concessions). Refreshment stop at Orchard Cafe at Shenley Park (probably where Charles will join us) on the way to the museum. Return via Bricket Wood. Part of the ride is off road. Mountain bikes are not necessary but this part of the route may not be suitable for bikes with skinny tyres or small wheels. There is an alternative route on tarmacked B roads.

This is a Spokes slow/medium pace ride. Speed dependent on participants, 7 to 10 mph average.

This ride is organised by Spokes SW Herts Cycling Group. If you enjoy the ride please consider joining Spokes and support our campaign for better routes for cyclists in South West Herts. You'll find details at http://www.spokesgroup.org.uk/about/. On the same website, you will also find our calendar of planned rides.
