We are riding to Flourish, a craft bakery and cafe in North Watford, taking the train to avoid the steepest hills and ride along the nicest routes. There is no seating but they do takeaway so we can stand outside. Also no toilets (although they seem to be open at Moor Park on the return journey). We cross Pinner Park Farm to take the train from Headstone Lane to Carpenders Park, then the traffic-free Abbey Way to Flourish. We'll return by the Abbey and Ebury Ways to Rickmansworth, then take the Met Line back from Moor Park. Don't forget your Oyster card, and sunscreen! Please bring also water, a bike lock and money for the cafe. Hybrid bikes are best for this ride - road bikes with slim smooth tyres are not suitable.
Do not come if you have any symptoms of Covid-19 or are in a home with anyone who has. Bring a face mask for the train and hand sanitiser. We will observe social distancing on the ride. Pease ensure your bike is in tip-top working order as I cannot touch it. Pump up the tyres, check the brakes and ensure the wheels turn freely.
PLEASE NOTE EARLIER THAN USUAL START TIME, SO THAT WE CAN CATCH THE TRAIN!
