Breeze to Middle Farm

This ride is not for beginners. Please look out for other Breeze rides which cater for this. This is an out and back ride of approximately 28 miles. The elevation is mainly flat with a couple of elevations in Brighton and Lewes. The return journey will be more challenging as the elevation rises slightly. In other words, there is more 'down hill' going to Middle Farm then there is on our way back. Our ride starts at the South entrance of Preston Park at the Rotunda Cafe (BN1 6HN). We will have introductions and pre ride checks. We will ride to Lewes Road on the main road and then pick up the cycle path all the way to Lewes. Once in Lewes we will make our way through town then re-join the cycle path which runs alongside the A27. We will ride all the way to Middle Farm for hot drinks and refreshments. When we are ready, we will return the same way we came.

Mainly cycle paths, some back roads and some main roads in Brighton and Lewes. Road bikes are suitable for this ride. MTBs are not appropriate for this ride.

We will have rest stops as necessary, through out the ride. When we reach Middle Farm we will stop for hot drinks and hot food.

Helmets are mandatory please. Gloves and warm sock are a must in this weather. Please also pack a rain jacket and ensure your lights on the front and rear of your bike are fully charged. . Bring some snacks and a water bottle for when we have our rest stops.
