A varied route through quiet roads, parks and countryside to take us to Swanley Park with its miniature railway and boating lake.
We will cycle mainly through quiet housing estate roads, parks and country lanes. There are a couple of slightly busier roads but these a fairly short sections. There are some inclines but no steep hills. Riders should be confident riding on the road and able to keep up with an average speed of 9-11mph. On the country lanes we sometimes encounter impatient drivers.
We will stop and re-group as necessary along the route. We will stop for refreshments at Swanley Park, where there are also toilets.
Come appropriately dressed for the weather, wearing layers if cooler. Bring a drink, a snack, a spare inner tube, a pump and a bike lock. A helmet is always recommended.
