This ride is an amended Michael Holt ride. It is suitable for all types of bike.
Starting at Brickcroft Nature reserve we travel north through Longton before swinging east across the A59 and out towards Leyland then visiting Croston, Eccleston and Bispham Green. We now avoid Delph having been let down too many times and partake of refreshments at the canalside Fettlers Wharf.
We then head north along the busy A59 before turning in towards Bretherton and then on through Much Hoole and back to the start at Brickcroft.
We'll ride at a steady pace of 10 - 12 mph on this ride and we'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together.
Remember, this is not a race, but a leisurely ride at a pace to suit the slowest in the group!
Please check your bike over the night before the ride, tyres inflated, all bolts tight, lubricated. Clothing, helmet & lights checked and ready.
Please ensure you have a pump and a couple of spare tubes in case of punctures and a good secure lock.
It would be great to have some new & some familiar faces on this ride, you're all welcome & I look forward to riding with you.
Please be at the start point at least 15 mins before the ride start time, ready to ride, so that we are able to get away at the stated start time of 10.05
