Easy Breezy around Pittington

Start at Belmont Library, Cheveley Court, DH1 2AA
This is the perfect ride if you’re a recent convert to cycling, out of practice or just after a short winter jaunt in good company. We’ll start at the library, cut through to traffic free Renny’s Lane and on reaching Sherburn we’ll take quieter roads via Littletown to Pittington where we’ll stop at Hallgarth Manor (now called Durham 61 Hotel) for a coffee. We’ll head back to Sherburn and Renny’s Lane to the start.
We will be riding decent surfaced paths and roads so any bike will cope. It is flattish but not a pancake.
In order for the ride to leave promptly, please be punctual so we can carry out bike checks, etc. prior to us setting off. Please make sure your bike is in working condition and bring a spare tube to fit your tyres. Expect to be out for about 2 hours including coffee stop. Please come suitably dressed.
As the weather can be unpredictable at this time of year we may alter the ride slightly if conditions are not great and we'll make any decision to cancel/amend by 8.30am on the morning and let you know via the conversation tab within the ride booking system.
For any queries please use the option to Message Ride Creator above. If you book and later can’t make it please cancel your place so we know for sure who to expect on the day. For any last minute cancellations on the day please also add a note in the ride Conversation so increasing its chance of being seen.
