Let's ride to Henfield on the Downs Link

*This ride is not for beginners or anyone under the age of 18y. (The advert states it is open to children - but I could not change this - apologies!)

This is an out and back ride on mixed terrain - back road, meadow and off road trails. We will meet at the Air Show Memorial site (BN43 5TE) at the side of the wooden Toll Bridge in Shoreham at 9.50am for a 10am start. This marks the start of our Guided Ride to Henfield. This is a steady ride with a small challenging up hill, off road section. We will stop for hot drinks and snacks at the Cabin, Henfield (BN5 9QY). After our refreshments, we will head back to Shoreham Toll Bridge.

Please dress appropriately for this ride. It may cold and damp (but hoping for some sunshine!) Helmets are mandatory. Gloves and warm socks are a must! Although the long range weather indicates no rain, please also bring along a rain jacket. We will do pre-ride checks as usual, - but also ensure your bike is in good working order, ie. brakes work and tyres are at a good psi, to go on this ride as we will be off road for much of the ride.

If the weather prediction deteriorates dramatically before our ride I will let everyone know.
