Starting point

Flintshire
CH5 4ET

This ride will be weather dependent, I will cancel if it looks like it will be too windy or rainy (snow and ice will also cancel it). Please arrive 15 mins before our ride so we can carry out bike checks etc.

This ride is suitable for all but please note that this ride has more roads than normal.
The route does include traffic free elements as well as quiet lanes, a small section on a busier road and then back to very quiet lanes.

This week we will be riding approximately 17 Miles on the pace of the slowest rider so that it will hopefully encourage those who have not signed up before to come and try.

From Dock Road we will cycle the NCN route 5 to Hawarden Bridge, then along the Greenway towards Blacon. We will turn a sharp left up towards Saughall and then take a few roads to Foxes. There is a small area of flood water on the recce but really hoping this good weather will have dried that up (if not we will return to Dragon Bridge and up the cycle route). Following this we do enter a small part where the road is a little rougher but a route through is available. We cross a bridge and onto the cycle path. After the cafe stop we return to the car park via a cycle path back towards Hawarden Bridge and Dock Road.

Please park considerately in the car park (opposite Yvonne's Cafe - there is additional free parking further along the road). Please note that there is a height barrier.

The Coffee stop is optional and this week we will be stopping in the middle of the ride at Foxes Tearoom and Cafe
