Shake Off Your Cobwebs!
I've changed this slightly & taken out the busy road section at Roby Mill.
Starting from Leyland we'll tootle over Anglezarke, through Rivington and of to follow cycle route 91 before stopping at Rufford for a well earned early afternoon lunch.
The lumps are over by 29 miles, but we have 50 miles before the café stop, so please have plenty of food & drink with you.
Please only book on this ride if you can ride at 12 mph, can cope with hills, which we will ride at our own pace, reforming at the top - and, most importantly, intend to turn up!!
Please be ready to ride by 9.45.
This is a hilly ride suitable for road bikes & hybrids with road tyres. If you are unsure of your bikes suitability, please get in touch before the ride.
During this year I will be raising money for the charity Bliss that supports families and premature babies in neonatal care. If you would like to donate to this worthy cause - which would be very much appreciated - please click on the Just Giving link below.

https://www.letsride.co.uk/rides/whos-the-centurions-we-are-2019We'll ride at a steady pace of 11 - 12 mph on this ride and we'll keep our pace at a level so that we can all stay together & have a really pleasant ride. This is a lumpy ride with a few bumps suitable for road bikes & hybrids with road tyres. If you are unsure of your bikes suitability, please get in touch before the ride.
Please check your bike over the night before the ride, tyres inflated, all bolts tight, lubricated. Clothing, Helmet & lights checked & ready. Please ensure you have all the parts for your bike - pump, spare tube, multi tool. Your bike is your responsibility! Phone, money too. You are your responsibility!
Please aim to be ready to ride 15 mins before the ride start time, getting away on time is good for everyone. It would be great to have some new & some familiar faces on this ride, you're all welcome & I look forward to riding with you.
I'm a British Cycling Ride Leader leading guided rides & I'm also a trained route planner - I enjoy my cycling & appreciate it even more when I have people to ride with. Our group is called the FC's - Friendly Cyclists, where all the Ride Leaders are trained & certified. You can read all about us & join the group here: Let us know a bit about yourself & what rides you like to do.
