NB: Route changes to avoid the now very busy A5183 and provide a more rural and scenic ride. Change of Leader, Peter has had to withdraw but Chris has kindly stepped in and will lead the ride, with some route variations.

Ride with Chris, out via Chandlers Cross, Chipperfield, Studham. Return via Flamstead and Redbourn, Gorhambury Estate (if open) and Bricket Wood. Mainly quiet roads with some cycle ways and a couple of stretches of busy B Roads.. 2136 feet of climbing, some challenging. Lunch plan is a choice of BYO Picnic near the Cafe in Verulamium Park, or, cafe may be available for those who prefer but recently found queues so long that only purchasing from outside ice cream/cold drinks etc counter was the only practical option.

This socially distanced ride is limited to pre-booked (via Lets Ride) SPOKES Members only, due to the limit on numbers. It is a medium pace ride (9-11mph average) organised by SPOKES SW Herts Cycling Group.

Want to ride with us during this number restricted period? Membership is only £12 per annum, £3 for subsequent Members in the same household. You'll find details at http://www.spokesgroup.org.uk/about/. On the same website, you will also find our calendar of planned rides.

Bring spare inner tube, pump and essential tools, hand sanitizer, drinks and refreshment. All that you need so you are self-sufficient in repairing your bike, punctures etc. and do not need close distance contact or to share with the rest of the group.
