This is a 30 mile round trip to Dorney Lake ( home of the 2012 Olympic rowing events) with a coffee stop at the Crocus Garden Centre. It has a variety of riding conditions: quiet rural roads, cycle paths, a canal towpath. The route has a large proportion of off road trails that are bumpy and can be puddled and muddy after rain. It is not recommended for road bikes with skinny tyres. Some short road sections have higher levels of traffic. There are some significant climbs, but nothing overly challenging. Riders can take these at their own pace and we'll regroup after each one.

We will do a circuit of the lake before stopping for refreshments at the Garden Centre.

Make sure your bike is in good working order. Use this guide: https://lcc.org.uk/advice/bike-safety-check/. Bring a spare tube, pump, tools to fix a puncture, a drink and a snack (or money to purchase).

The time for the ride is a best estimate by the Ride Leader. Sometimes this can be affected by factors such as the weather, mechanical issues, the queue at the cafe, etc. We have a policy of leaving no rider behind so, if anyone is struggling, we will adjust the speed and take rest stops if necessary.
