Women - Breeze Durham

Part of British Cycling's Official ride programme for women and their children. We are a group of riders lead by volunteer Breeze Champions. Our rides, which are at least once a month around Country Durham, can be anything from 5 to 35 miles. Most of our rides are 50/50 on and off quiet roads but sometimes they are totally off or on roads! Most of our rides start in Durham City but also Chester-Le-Street, Crook, Consett and Coxhoe and (not just places beginning with C!) sometimes further afield in Teesdale or Weardale. We always stop at a café for cake and scran and we never leave anyone behind! The rides are advertised on the letsride.co.uk web page as women only rides and on our facebook page. We are a fun, friendly and supportive bunch and our rides are very sociable. You only need to be able to ride to a basic level but your bike needs to be road-worthy. If you are not sure - get your bike checked out at your local bike shop. Cycle helmets are advisory and compulsory for under 18 year olds.
