Starting point

Renfrewshire
G3 8RS

This ride takes us to the Seven Lochs Wetland Park, to visit all seven lochs! We'll get to the park along the Forth and Clyde Canal, and visit the Lochs on the way back:
1. Johnston Loch
2. Garnqueen Loch
3. Lochend Loch
4. Woodend Loch
5. Bishop Loch
6. Frankfield Loch
7. Hogganfield Loch
We'll also pass by two recent additions to Glasgow's cycling infrastructure: the Stockingfield and Sighthill Bridges.

We'll ride mostly on cycle paths and cycle lanes. There are some stretches on gravel paths in the Seven Lochs Wetland Park. There are also some small sections on road.

There will be several chances of stopping for refreshments, including Kirkintilloch, Tearoom on Johnston Loch, Drumpellier, Hogganfield.

You will need a bike in full working order, preferably with gears. There are some sections on gravel and very small paths, hence a hybrid, gravel or mountain bike is recommended.
Due to riding on open roads and some gravel, a helmet is recommended. Bring plenty to drink and some snacks for the breaks.

The ride might be cancelled if the weather is adverse. This is not a guided ride: please make sure you are happy with the route, which may be slightly changed depending on conditions and possible diversions.
