Ride to The Cantorist-Childrey Loop

A ride out on the country roads and lanes with a short section on the A417 near Challow. We go out Via Uffington, Westcott and Sparsholt and return via Challow, Baulking, Fernham and Longcot. Unusually the coffee stop comes just before the half way point as this means our ride on the A417 is easier

a flat ride with one bump to get your apetiteworked for the delicious fair at the Catorist in Childrey.

for most of the ride we will be on country lanes which have low levels of traffic. There will be on short stretch on the A417 but it should not prove to be an issue.

We will stopping for coffee at the very rustic and rural Cantorist Farm and cafe in Childrey

Don’t forget a full water bottle with your favourite thirst quencher. For all our rides you should bring at least a spare inner tube and a pump. If your wheels are bolted-on then a spanner that fits the wheel nuts is also essential. Helmets are not compulsory but most definitely recommended. You should dress appropriately for the weather, and consider bringing your mobile phone along with cash or debit card for the refreshment stop. Some place’s only take card payments. Although our bikes should be safe at the coffee stop you should consider bringing a lock

We welcome new folk to our rides. Our normal speed on a ride such as this is 12 mph but we will also have some confidence building rides coming up later and next month
