Valentines Day in love with cycling ! Winter Miles Summer Smiles

Join us for a slow steady 16 mile ride from Rivington over to Astley Park. Elevation 806 ft. Average Speed 8 mph. Ideal for those of us who haven't been on our bikes much this winter and want to start regaining fitness. Starting from outside Go Ape at Rivington ( Great Barn)

Heading out of Rivington on Horrobin Rd we make our way via Babylon Lane and the A6 to Rawlinson Lane. From here we join the canal to Chorley. On leaving the canal we skirt around Chorley Town Centre and into the park. After our cafe break we leave the park using the Chorley cycle loop shared paths heading towards Eaves Green. We've a short section on the road as we rejoin the A6 until Fredricks were we get back onto the canal

Helmets are mandatory on this ride. Please bring a spare inner tube and pump in case of a puncture. Dress according to the weather. If you do not want to use the cafe there is seating outside you can use for your own snack /drink. You must be a member of Horwich Ride Social to join this ride.
